Doctrinal Statement
The Scriptures
I believe that the Bible containing a total of 66 Books, the Old Testament and the New Testament, without error in the manuscripts and are inspired by God (II Tim 3:16). I believe that the Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice. I believe that the Scriptures are designed for practical instructions. Through Scriptures, God revealed Himself to the mankind (Romans 1:17-20; Eph 3:3-5).
Scripture references:
Prov. 30:5-6; John 17:17; Rev. 22:18-19. II Pet. 1:19-21; Heb. 1:1-2; II Pet. 3:15-16. II Sam. 23:2; Acts 1:16; I Cor. 2:13-14. Matt. 5:18; John 10:35; Gal. 3:16; Acts 17:11; I Cor. 10:6-12; Eph.6:17; II Tim. 3:15-16; I John 4:1; Luke 24:27, 44; John 5:39; Acts 1:16; 17:2–3; 18:28; 26:22–23; 28:23; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 2:13; 10:11; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21
The Godhead
I believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God. I believe that there is only one living and true God, who is eternal, self-existing, perfect Spirit. He is a personal Being and the Creator of the universe.
Scripture references:
Gen 21:33; Deut. 6:4-5; Jer. 10:10. Hab. 1:12; John 4:24; James 1:17. Gen. 1:1-25; Heb. 1:10; Col. 1:15-17. Matt. 3:16; 28:19; II Cor. 13:14. John 10:30; 14:10; 17:5; I Cor. 8:6; Phil. 2:5-6. John 14:26; 15:26; Eph. 1:3-4, 6-7, 13-14. Matt. 28:18–19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; Acts 5:3–4; 2 Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1–3; Rev. 1:4–6.
Decrees of God
I believe in the Decrees of God that God has an eternal purpose or purposes based on His most holy counsel that He ordained everything to come to pass, for His own glory. (Isaiah 14: 24, 26,27. Eph. 1:11).
The Creation
I believe that the Genesis account of creation is to be accepted literally and not figuratively. I believe that the six days of creation mentioned in Genesis chapter one were solar hour days. I believe the creation of mankind was done in the likeness and in the image of God. It did not evolve from something else, but God created the mankind. I believe that God did not use anything that was pre-existed to create the whole universe, but He spoke the universe into existence directly.
Scripture references:
Gen. 1:1-2:25; Neh. 9:6; Ps. 33:6-9; John 1:3; Heb. 11:3; Col. 1:16-17. Ex. 20:11; 31:17. Gen. 1:11, 12, 21, 24, 25. Gen. 1:26.
The Angels
I believe in the existence of the angels and are mighty spiritual beings that were created by God at one time. I believe that God created an innumerable company of sinless, spiritual beings. They serve Him in various ways and are specially appointed to watch over and minister to God's people. (Heb. 1:6, 14; Matt. 25:41; Eph. 6:12; Rev. 20:1-3, 10).
The Fall of Man
I believe that man was originally created a sinless being. But he fell from that sinless state and, as a result of his sin, he lost his spiritual life, becoming dead in trespasses and sins. Because of the sin that was committed, all mankind are now sinners by nature and by conduct and are justly under divine condemnation.
Scripture references:
Gen. 1:27, 31; 2:16-17; Eccles. 7:29; Gen. 3:6-7; Rom. 5:12, 19; Ps. 51:5; Is. 53:6; Rom. 3:9-18, 23; 5:15-19; James 2:10; John 3:36; Rom. 1:20.
The Lord Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ is the focal point of the entire Bible. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is both truly God and truly man. His literal human body was miraculously conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and He was born of a human mother who was a virgin. Jesus Christ was, is and will ever exist. He has no beginning and no end. He is equal member of the Trinity.
Scripture references:
Phil. 2:5-8; Is. 7:14; Lk. 1:26-38; John 1:1-2, 14; John 8:58; Lk. 24:1-6; I Pet. 2:21-24; Lk. 24:1-6; I Cor. 15:1-7, 23-26; Heb. 4:14; Matt. 24:30-31; I Cor. 15:51-52.
The Holy Spirit
I believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. I believe that He was active in creation. He convicts men of sin. He indwells each believer. He performs various ministries such as, - guiding, teaching, sanctifying, and strengthening. I believe that each believer is being sanctified by the continuing work of the Spirit, and ultimately at Christ's coming will be completely sanctified.
Scripture references:
II Cor. 13:14; Gen. 1:1-2; John 16:8-11; I Cor. 6:19-20; John 3:3; Rom. 8:14; Eph. 1:13, 17; 3:16; I Cor. 1:2; 12:4-7, 11; II Cor. 3:18; I John 1:8; II Cor. 12:12; Heb. 2:4; I Cor. 13:8; Eph. 5:18.
The Salvation
I believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born again. Salvation is made free to all by the Gospel. It is initiated by God and is accomplished by grace apart from any human works. It is the duty of all to accept it by personal faith. Nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner except his own voluntary refusal to accept Christ as Savior. I believe that all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are forgiven, regenerated, and justified. The perfect righteousness of Christ is imputed to those that believe Him. I believe that True believers are saved forever and can never loose their salvation. I believe that Salvation is a free gift of God.
Scripture references:
Eph. 2:8-9; John 3:16; Acts 16:31; John 5:40; Rom. 2:5; I Tim. 2:4; Rom. 5:1; Eph. 1:7; I Pet. 1:23; II Cor. 5:21; II Pet. 3:18; John 10:27-30.
The Church
I believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, and it is composed of all true believers who are placed into that Body by the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit. The Church is distinct from Israel. I believe that a local church is an organized congregation of immersed believers associated together by a common faith and fellowship in the Gospel.
Scripture references:
Matt.16:18; I Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:22-23; Eph. 3:3-6; Acts 2:41-42; II Tim. 3:16-17; Matt. 28:19-20; I Cor. 11:23-24; I Tim. 3:1-16; Titus 1:5-9; Matt. 18:15-18; Acts 6:3-5; I Cor. 5:4-5, 13; I Tim. 3:15; Rom. 6:3-4; I Cor. 11:26; Acts 8:36-39; Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:3-4; Acts 2:41-42; I Cor. 11:26; Matt. 26:29; I Cor. 11:28; Acts 8:4; 11:20-21.
The Ordinances
I believe that the two ordinances, the baptism and the Lord’s Supper should be practiced in a local Church and are the means of the testimony for the Church.
Scripture references:
Matt. 28:19; Luke 22:19–20; Acts 10:47–48; 16:32–33; 18:7–8; 1 Cor. 11:26.
The Lord's Day
I believe that the first day of the week is the Lord's Day, and is a Christian institution that is to be kept sacred for spiritual purposes insofar as is possible on the part of the individual believer. It commemorates the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. It is a time for public worship and for spiritual growth. I believe that all believers should give importance to that day.
Scripture references:
John 20:1, 19; Acts 20:7; I Cor. 16:1-2.
The Eternal Security
I believe in Eternal Security, because of the regenerating, and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of all who are saved shall be kept saved and safe forever.
Scripture references:
I Peter 1:5; Eph: 4:30; John 5:24; 10:28; 13:1; 14:16–17; 17:11; Rom. 8:29; 1 Cor. 6:19; Heb. 7:25; 1 John 2:1–2; 5:13; 5:18; Jude 24.
The Assurance
I believe it is the privilege, not only of some, but of all who are born again by the Spirit through faith in Christ as revealed in the Scriptures, to be assured of their salvation from the very day they take Him to be their Savior and that this assurance is not founded upon any discovery of their own worthiness or fitness, but wholly upon the testimony of God in His written Word. I believe that as believers and as His children we have that assurance.
Scripture references:
Luke 10:20; 22:32; 2 Cor. 5:1, 6–8; 2 Tim. 1:12; Heb. 10:22; 1 John 5:13. Eph 5:5-6. 2 Peter 1:10.
The Great Commission
I believe that the Great Commission is one of the most significant passages in the Bible. I believe that this is a command from Jesus, and it is a personal instruction for Christians to have a profound faith in Him. This is a call to all the believers to share the Good News of salvation through out the world and it is not just the responsibility of a pastor.
Scripture references:
Matt. 28:18–19; Mark 16:15; John 17:18; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:18–20; 1 Pet. 1:17.
The Second Coming of Christ
I believe that the period of great tribulation in the earth will come to an end by the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth just as He went, in person on the clouds, and with power and great glory. He will bind the Satan and place him in the abyss. He will restore Israel. He will bring all the people to the knowledge of God.
Scripture references:
Ezek. 37:21–28; Matt. 24:15–25:46; Acts 15:16–17; Rom. 8:19–23; 11:25–27; 1 Tim. 4:1–3; 2 Tim. 3:1–5; Rev. 20:1–3.
